Blue Things" was Jiatong Liu's major project at Kingston University. Taking blue as the research object, He created a non-fiction picture book about the colour blue.
Blue has a tortuous history. Before the 12th century, blue represented negative meanings and was rarely used as painting pigment. The ancient Romans thought blue was a low colour. However, it was valued by people in the Middle Ages because of religious promotion, and even became people's favourite colour. Finally, it became the colour of morality, pureness, freedom and the spiritual world.
